It's National Apprenticeship Week! #NAW2022

Welcome to National Apprenticeship Week!

7th - 13th February 2022

"The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy". - apprenticeship.gov

This year’s theme is #BuildTheFuture which will reflect on how apprenticeships can help people to build their skillsets to gain a rewarding career. It will also take a look at how business can help nurture a talented workforce and give them skills for the future.

How can the matrix Standard help with your Apprenticeship choice or programme?

The matrix Standard is an international quality standard owned by the Department for Education, which is focused on ensuring that an organisation delivers high-quality information, advice and guidance and this includes Apprenticeship Training Providers. It helps providers to improve their services by benchmarking against best practice and it offers accreditation to those that meet the full standard.

“The Candidate Engagement team at Babington is committed to developing better futures for our potential apprentices. Initially, we do this by providing in-depth information, advice, and guidance via a 1:1 call with candidates, during which we explore individual career aspirations and discuss suitability for the roles we have open. We will then guide candidates through the whole recruitment process – right from helping with effective CV writing, to offering advice and tips for interview – as we want each and every one to feel prepared, and ultimately to be as successful as possible in attaining the role they want.”

Claire Turley, Head of Candidate Engagement

"All learners, but especially young adults, should be able to access and benefit from free and independent careers guidance to help them make informed choices about routes into jobs or how to access different careers. We all have a responsibility to ensure learners reach their potential through jobs that inspire and reward them every day."

Theresa Maple, Director of Operations
