“Our matrix Journey brought two cultures together. We are now one team, completely dedicated to continually improving the learner’s experience.”

Singularly Symbiotic
A wise man was once asked,
’ How is it that you know everything?’
The wise man replied,
’ I don’t, but I know where to look to find what I need to know.’
Many organisations that work in the world of ‘standards’, feel that they have to ‘re-invent the wheel’ with regard to their processes, for every new standard. In view of the myriad of standards now in the market place, that can add up to an axle full of wheels.
If the processes that an organisation uses, to meet its targets in relation to its stated aims and objectives, dovetail with a standards criteria, then the old maxim, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ can apply. Any missing or weak processes can, should an organisation wish, be developed from ‘scratch’, but as there is a wealth of good practice in the world of IAG, it is worth looking at what is already out there being used.
With this in mind organisations can ‘dip’ into this vast pool of resources - (material or human) – and make use of Registered matrix Advisers, their Partners, hub or network organisations, if they belong to one, and matrix Excellence award winners, and save themselves not only time, and therefore money, but possibly any development costs.
This doesn’t mean that organisations shouldn’t think for themselves. What it means is that they should make best use of what resources are available, to make the journey to matrix Accreditation as smooth as possible. If whilst on that Journey they are able to improve on an existing resource, or add a new one of their own, they will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have added to the resource pool, and possibly provided a resource that other organisations might find useful in the future.
So if, on your journey, you come across a problem that you don’t feel that you can overcome, think like the wise man:-
‘I can’t solve this, but I know where to find a resource that can’.
