"There are distinct advantages to a union working with a provider that has both standards, it's a win-win for everyone. The union can have confidence that we will be able to recruit learners on to programmes, improve the skill level of members, and develop good links with employers; learners get good outcomes; and our reputation for quality helps attract new business."

Registered matrix Advisers

Registered matrix Advisers can support organisations throughout their matrix Journey in many ways. This may include providing objective advice and offering an independent opinion, helping to identify problems, identifying new approaches, action planning and/or readiness checking.

It is important for organisations to establish the level of support they anticipate they might need. Registered Advisers can be on hand throughout the matrix Journey or used at any specific point. Through identifying the level of support needed organisations can ensure in consultation with the Adviser that they achieve their aims and objectives from the advisory session.

When working with an Adviser it is worth considering the amount of time before the support ends and Assessment takes place.

For example it is recommended that organisations working with an Adviser should allow at least six weeks between having a readiness test and actual Assessment. This will allow organisations to take time to reflect on the advice given by the Adviser and implement any changes. A readiness test can help organisations determine if they are ready to go through Assessment, it should also identify any issues or problems that may need to be resolved before an Assessment takes place. The aim of the readiness test is to provide a check of where the organisation is currently at against the elements of the Standard. However it must be noted that it is only a part of the preparation for Assessment and should not be viewed as a guarantee for gaining Accreditation.

Registered matrix Advisers are an independent group of consultants who are recruited, trained and developed in line with a rigorous quality assurance process and must attend regular development sessions to ensure they are continuously updated.

We only endorse Advisers who have gone through our rigorous training program and follow our compliance procedures such as attending CPD events, internal verification and quality assurance procedures.

Organisations are encouraged to use only Registered advisers which are listed on the matrix website.
